Dr. Kecheng Xu was stunned, and other experts there were shocked, even after being in medicine for decades, they had never seen such a large abdomen. Peng Xiao Mei had been uffering from ovarian cancer for 2 years. A poor family, she was reluctant to hurt the loved ones at home, left her home in Hainan, and soon became homeless. She knew she was suffering from cancer, and had hoped that she would die quietly away from her family. Going to the public hospital in a nearby city, she hoped she could die there and have the hospital take care of her funeral arrangements. During a visit of the local hospitals, Dr. Xu saw Ms. Peng sitting unattended to at the hospital, and his heart broke upon seeing such a desperate figure. Knewing this was a case he could assist in, he had Fuda send an ambulance to bring Ms. Peng back to Guangzhou. At the time, Ms. Peng was in poor condition, had breathing difficulties, and near heart failure. Despite all, Ms. Peng underwent a series of major operations to remove the 55 kg tumor which contained large amounts of cystic fluid, possibly a world record. Today, Ms. Peng has improved tremendously, both emotionally and physically. See the video below to watch her great progress.
